Willie Revillame recently had a meeting with Manny Villar
Veteran TV host Willie Revillame and billionaire businessman Manny Villar started their planning for the launch of the Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS).
Early this year, it was reported that Villar has already acquired the frequencies previously occupied by ABS-CBN. Following this, Willie revealed his decision not to renew his contract with GMA-7 because he was already negotiating with Villar.
It was rumored that the veteran TV host will hold an executive position on the TV network of the richest man in the Philippines. Just recently, based on the article in PEP, Willie Revillame had a meeting with Manny Villar.
Las Piñas House Representative Camille Villar and AMBS President Beth Tolentino also joined the meeting which reportedly was about their plans for the opening of the TV network. It was said that the network will surely have its launch before the end of 2022.
However, there is a possibility that the name AMBS will be changed to ABS or All Broadcasting System. Willie will have huge participation in managing the network. Villar trusted the power to him when it comes to program concepts and the talents who will be hired.
It is also speculated that Willie might have a noontime show again. To recall, when he was in ABS-CBN, he had a noontime show Wowowee. When Willie transferred to TV5 and later on to GMA, his shows were part of the late-after timeslot.
Reportedly, Manny Villar announced that he was already able to buy the transmitters of ABS-CBN in Luzon. The billionaire businessman is currently in negotiation with the Kapamilya network for his intention to purchase the transmitters in Visayas and Mindanao regions.
