Seasoned actress Alice Dixson surprised many people when she announced that she has become a mother at the age of 52 and she even surprised more when she introduced her “panganay.”
Alice shared videos and photos of Sassa, the first daughter of her longtime partner, in her Mother’s Day post. She said that the father of her “panganay” is so protective and so the introduction just happened recently.
In a recent podcast interview on Updated with Nelson Canlas, based on the article in Bandera, Alice Dixson explained her reason for introducing Sassa to the public. She said that everybody knows that her “panganay” is there but she did not have a formal introduction until her post last earlier this May.
“Well, it’s because and this is the real reason, last year, noong nagbanggit ako ng, ‘I’m now a new mother, my baby had arrived,’ na-realize ko na, ‘teka muna kahit paano naging mother din naman ako, hindi si Aura ang first ko.’ So I wanted just to acknowledge,” the seasoned actress explained.
She realized last year when people greeted her with “Happy Mother’s Day” that this is not her first time being a mom. Alice said that she does not want to forget about Sassa. “That’s why this all came about. So hindi ko siya biological daughter, pero mahal ko pa rin siya all the same,” she added.
Alice also shared that when her Baby Aura came, she was wondering what will be the relationship dynamics of her daughters because of their age gap. Fortunately, the actress said that Sassa is fond of babies and it was not difficult for her to interact with her younger sister.
After their getting-to-know stage, Alice Dixson said that Sassa and Baby Aura were already playing with each other and this made her so happy.
