Open Letter of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s Daughter Doc Tricia amid People Reaching Out to Them
LENI ROBREDO’S DAUGHTER – Dr. Tricia Robredo took to social media a message amid the people reaching out and showing concern for their family.
Last May 9, 2022, millions of Filipinos went out to vote in the local and national elections. Ten candidates vied for the presidency. It was an automated election and most voting precincts closed at 7:00 p.m. On the same night, partial and unofficial results were instantly made available and were reported publicly by media networks.
The partial and unofficial results showed Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer and former Senator Bongbong Marcos leading the presidential race. Vice President Leni Robredo occupied the second spot with a huge gap from the votes of the frontrunner.
Currently, a lot of people await updates on the questions regarding the election. Many of the supporters of the Vice President are dismayed by the partial and unofficial results. Messages of love, support, and concern overflowed for the Robredo family.
Recently, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s daughter, Doc Tricia Robredo, took to social media a message amid a lot of people reaching out and showing concern to them. In her Facebook post, the doctor expressed that she woke up to “endless messages” asking how they are.
Doc Tricia admitted that it is difficult to find the right words for how they really feel now without getting misinterpreted. She stressed the pain and the struggle to understand but she also stated that these are nothing compared to what they felt when they lost their father, former Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo.
Amid the heartbreak, Doc Tricia stressed that they had to go on. Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s daughter expressed that it was the thought that crossed her mind throughout the day as she tries to make sense of what is happening and navigate her way amid the conflicting emotions.
Doc Tricia also cited a gem from one of her favorite professors who told her that the pursuit to save the world includes facing the pain it can bring. According to her, she can see in the Vice President and her sisters the love that “reminds you of how fiercely you cared and that propels you to love and try harder” and it brings her peace.
Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s daughter said that, regardless of the result, you can hold your head up high and not be ashamed of a heart that is weary and wounded. She ended her message saying nothing was wasted and things are just starting. Here’s her Facebook post:
