Fashion Veteran Fanny Serrano Passes Away at the Age of 74
The Filipino celebrity makeup artist Fanny Serrano has already passed away at the age of 74 in Morato, Quezon City.
Felix Fausto Jr. in real life, Serrano is a celebrity makeup artist who started his career in the 1970s. He made name in the showbiz industry and even became the makeup artist of popular celebrities such as Sharon Cuneta, Lorna Tolentino and Amy Austria.
Fanny’s daughter Patpat Miranda said that her father Fanny Serrano has passed away at his home in Morato, Quezon City around 8:45 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday evening (May 10, 2022). The sad new immediately spread like a wildfire online.
The design stalwart passed away more than a year after he suffered a massive stroke in March 2021. He was placed on a life support and his health deteriorate. The latter previously survived a stroke in 2016.
“Papa died peacefully in his sleep between 8:45 to 9 p.m. last night at his residence in Morato, Quezon City, Ang prayer lang namin huwag siyang masyadong maghirap,“ Miranda related. “And our Lord gave that to him, the blessing of moving on in his sleep,” Patpat said.
Maktin Miranda, Serrano’s son also confirmed the sad news on his Facebook account.
“It is with a heavy heart to share to everyone that my Father, Felix Mariano Fausto Jr. aka Fanny Serrano has peacefully joined our creator last night , around 9pm MNL, at the comfort of our home.
The whole family are comforted by the fact that a lot of you are celebrating his life and paying tributes on how he has touched people’s lives.
Interment details to follow, as we , the family, are still fixing all the necessary documents needed.
We appreciate everyone’s condolences. Thank you for being with us on this difficult time.”
Meanwhile, the family has yet to finalize the funeral arrangements for the celebrity.
