Rizalito David wants VP Leni Robredo to be the next president
Vice President Leni Robredo was endorsed by vice-presidential candidate Rizalito David as he wanted to hinder the return to power of UniTeam presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos.
As Election Day is fast approaching, political issues are becoming louder and louder. Supporters of BBM and VP Leni have apparently become more intense as well in showing their support.
In a report from ABS-CBN, even Rizalito David, who is running for vice president, has endorsed VP Leni Robredo. “Sana ‘wag manalo si Bongbong Marcos at si Sara Duterte kaya kung si Leni Robredo ang maaaring makatalo sa kanila o sa kanya, kay Bongbong Marcos, siya po ang ating tulungan,” he stressed.
Because of this, David said that he is blatantly endorsing the candidacy of VP Leni even though he is not her running mate. David is the running mate of Dr. Jose Montemayor Jr.
“Kaya po, tahasan ko na pong ini-endorso, with respect to my ka-tandem na si Dr. Jose Montemayor Jr., na si Leni Robredo po ang ating tulungan upang baka sakali naman ay talunin niya si Bongbong Marcos,” David said. For him, the tandem of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte will just bring danger to the country.
In a previous statement, David stressed that other candidates should have backed out in order to give way to the one who will defeat the BBM-Sara tandem. Aside from VP Leni Robredo, Rizalito David also endorsed the vice-presidential candidacy of Senate President Tito Sotto.
In a recent Pulse Asia Survey, the UniTeam tandem once again topped the pre-election survey. Bongbong Marcos got 56 percent while VP Leni Robredo only got 23 percent. For the vice-presidential race, Mayor Sara Duterte is leading with 55 percent, and Sen. Tito Sotto was the second with 18 percent.
