NUR-ANA SAHIDULLA’S PLATFORMS – Here are the accomplishments of senatorial bet Nur-Ana Sahidulla and her plans if she wins the 2022 Election.
The 2022 Elections include the senatorial race. Based on the official release of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), 63 bets are vying for a seat in the Senate. They are a mixture of candidates from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. One of the senatorial bets is Nur-Ana Sahidulla.
Personal Background:
Nur-Ana Indanan Sahidulla was born on September 21, 1959 in Indaan, Sulu. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Commerce at Zamboanga Arturo Eustaquio College and BA Mass Communication at Western Mindanao State University. She had her masters in Development and Governance at the University of Makati.
Sahidulla is married to former Banguingui mayor Abdulwahid O. Sahidulla. They have four children.
Accomplishments:
Nur-Ana Sahidulla has served as mayor of Banguingui for two (2) consecutive terms from 1998 to 2004. She also served as governor from 2004 to 2007 consisting of two terms. She was part of the team that negotiated for the release of ABS-CBN reporter Ces Drilon and two cameramen who were taken by the rebels. As a lawmaker in the House of Representatives, she authored 16 bills and one of them was passed into law – the Republic Act No. 10628 or an Act Providing for the Construction of Fish Ports in the Municipalities of Tongkil, Tapul, Lugus, Kalinggalan Caluang, and Siasi, Sulu. In the private sector, she was the chairperson of the Philippine National Red Cross-Sulu chapter from 2004 to 2019.
