Are celebrities supporting Leni Robredo hoping for a new franchise in return? Vice Ganda has a comment on this.
VICE GANDA – Kapamilya star Vice Ganda slams trolls saying that their support for Leni Robredo is for their network’s franchise.
The Pasay City grand rally of lone female presidential candidate Leni Robredo earned massive support and attendance from the people as well as from celebrities. 412,000 “Kakampink” supporters came to join the event and before this huge crowd, Robredo reiterated to fight fake news, continue their house-to-house efforts, and practice radical love.

During the same event, screen superstars Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, and Liza Soberano sent video messages to the vice president where they formally declared their support for her. Also, the first-timers to attend the sortie are Vice Ganda, Regine Velasquez, and Maricel Soriano – some of the biggest names in the industry.
“Isang desisyong nakakaproud. Isang desisyong tama,” says Vice on his Instagram after declaring his official endorsement of Robredo. May celebrities came out and chose Robredo as their presidential bet and amid the warm support from these famous personalities, some people could not help but speculate that they are just doing this for a franchise.
As much as many people are aware, the ABS-CBN network was shut down roughly two years ago which caused massive job loss to thousands of employees the network has to let go. And in the recent episode of the noontime show Its Showtime, Vice slammed this particular claim of trolls and called them “Shonga”.
He clearly explained that their network is no longer running after a new franchise because someone new owns it already. They are also very sure that the new owners are going to use it for a long time. And for those trolls who said that their support is in exchange for a new franchise, they are mistaken.
His statement is:
“Para po sa kaalaman ng nakararami, wala na po kaming inaasahang prangkisa dahil ang dati naming prangkisa mayroon na pong dating nagmamamay-ari nun. Wala na po kaming hinahabol na dating prangkisa ay may nagmamamay-ari na at pagmamamay-arian nila yan ng ilang dekada. Wala na pong mahahabol ang [ABS-CBN], kanila na po yun.”
