LARRY GADON’S PLATFORMS – Here are the accomplishments of Atty. Larry Gadon and the things he promises to do if he gets elected as Senator in the May 2022 Elections.
Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon is probably one of the most controversial lawyers in the Philippines. He filed the impeachment complaint against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno and this led to the end of her judicial duty in May 2018. Gadon also assisted the complainant in an impeachment charge against Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen in December 2020 but this one failed. He is running for Senator under the UniTeam of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte. Back in 2016 and 2019, he also ran but failed to enter the top 12.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Larry Gadon took up Bachelor of Commerce at the Far Eastern University. Then he studied law at the same university. In 1993, he was admitted to the Bar. He became the lawyer of prominent figures in the country such as former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Gadon also did management and legal consultant jobs for several private companies.
He is a self-proclaimed Marcos Loyalist. Gadon believes that the imposition of Martial Law by the late President Ferdinand Marcos was right. He is also a known ally of President Rodrigo Duterte.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Atty. Larry Gadon has handled several prominent legal cases. Most of them are against the critics or alleged opponents of the administration of President Duterte. He was the legal counsel of Guillermina Barrido, a.k.a Guillerma Arcillas, the Davao-based businesswoman who accused former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and 3 others of kidnapping with serious illegal detention in 2019.
Gadon also represented Peter Joemel “Bikoy” Advincula, who was accused by the Department of Justice of conspiracy to commit sedition in 2020. This came after the release of the video series “Ang Totoong Narcolist” which accused the Duterte family members of involvement in the illegal drugs trade. The videos were allegedly part of the opposition’s smear campaign.

- Constitutional reform for citizens to have one vote for president and vice president
- Limit senators to one term
- Continue anti-corruption advocacy through appointment as head of the Presidential Management Staff (if his senatorial bid fails)
- Lifting restrictions on foreign investments, allowing up to 100% business ownership to foreigners
- Provide technology to farmers from farm to market
- “Micro-industrialization” or supporting regional efforts at small- to medium-scale levels
- Modernize and support rice milling industries
- Build dams, water supply and generate hydropower electricity
- Build railways to improve transportation of people and goods
- Improve and support technical and vocational education and training
- Improve public hospitals
