MIGZ ZUBIRI’S PLATFORMS – Here are the accomplishments of Senator Migz Zubiri and the things he promises to do if he gets elected as Senator in the May 2022 Elections.

Juan Miguel “Migz” Fernandez Zubiri started his political career when he ran for congressman in the third district of Bukidnon in 1998, the position that was vacated by his father Jose Maria Zubiri, Jr. In 2007, he began his journey in the Senate. For the 2022 elections, he is once again running for senator as an independent candidate.

Zubiri studied Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management at the University of the Philippines Los Banos and took a Master of Environment and Natural Resources Management at the University of the Philippines Open University. Before entering the world of politics, he was the General Manager of Zubros Agri Inc. from 1990 to 1995. Then, he became the chef-of-staff of his father from 1995 to 1998.


While serving as a congressman, Migz Zubiri has authored, co-authored, and sponsored several laws. Among the notable laws that are included in the list are the Bangsamoro Organic Law, which created the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, the Cooperative Development Authority Charter of 2019, the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008, the Ease of Doing Business, and the Efficient Delivery of Government Services Act of 2018.

The reelectionist Senator is also supporting various causes that are focused on the environment, economic development, and health. He is the President of the Philippine Deer Foundation and one of the founding members of the Katala Foundation Inc., which is a non-profit, non-stock, non-governmental organization that is active in protecting and conserving threatened endemic wildlife.
