However, the camp of Robredo has denied this allegation. In his retaliation regarding this issue, Mayor Isko Moreno challenged VP Leni Robredo and Bam Aquino to deny his claim that their camp was the first to ask other candidates to withdraw, based on the report from ABS-CBN.

I challenge the honorable Vice President Leni Robredo, pasinungalingan niyo kami. Pasinungalingan niyo kami kung hindi kayo nag-attempt nang makita ng taumbayan ang katotohanan, kung sino ang fake, kung sino ang totoo,” the mayor said.

He also said the same challenge to Bam Aquino. “I challenge Bam Aquino. Sige, tignan natin. I challenge Bam Aquino to deny it,” Mayor Isko said. The Manila Mayor also addressed the statement of VP Leni spokesperson Barry Gutierrez denying the withdrawal calls.

Barry, mag-ingat ka, may CCTV sa OVP… Fake talaga kayo. Tsaka, Barry, huwag ka nang magsalita, ‘yung amo mo pagsalitain mo,” Moreno stressed adding that Gutierrez should let VP Leni speak but he said that maybe a teleprompter is needed for her to do that.
