PAGASA Says Easterlies & Localized Thunderstorms to Bring Cloudy Skies & Rains Over Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (April 19)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (April 19, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Easterlies/localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

“Makakaranas po tayo ng maaliwalas na panahon di lamang sa dito sa Metro Manila kundi sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa. Nakakaapekto sa buong bansa ay easterlies,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora will experience similar weather condition.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country are also expected to experience the same weather condition. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

Sa buong bansa, ay inaasahan pa rin natin ang maganda at maaliwalas na panahon maliban sa mga isolated na pag-ulan kadalasan po yan sa hapon o gabi dulot po yan ng localized thunderstorms,” Aurelio added.

The coastal water condition over Extreme northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have a slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.

The weather agency did not raised any gale warning in any seaboards nationwide.
