Beauty Gonzalez opened up about her mental health
Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez admitted that she has this psychological phenomenon that she has been battling over the years.
Beauty has proven her star status in the entertainment industry. Through her various roles in teleseryes and movies, she was able to show her versatility. She is being recognize for her acting prowess. This is also aside from the fact that many people admire her beauty and figure.
However, praises and positive feedbacks about herself and work are blocked by the psychological phenomenon that she has. Based on the article in Bandera, Beauty Gonzalez admitted that she is “Imposter Syndrome.”
“Imposter syndrome is loosely defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud. It disproportionately affects high-achieving people, who find it difficult to accept their accomplishments.” – Harvard Business Review
She said that there are a lot of possible factors that will trigger this. Beauty shared that even positive comments can be a trigger as she would think that they are not true. “It’s like psychological warfare, it’s really not easy, it’s an everyday thing you tackle. You are not aware that these feelings exist,” she said.
The actress also said that there were times that she lack the sense of belongingness and that all she achieved was all because of luck. Having this condition, Beauty said that she should be aware of what she feels and acknowledge this kind of feeling.
She is also acknowledging the fact that she has the power to change those negative feelings into positive ones. In order to fight this psychological phenomenon, Beauty Gonzalez said that she would spend more time with her loved ones and those who feel him happy.
“Think about the things you’re grateful for. It’s also important to celebrate your achievements. If you feel like it’s parang insignificant, you should still celebrate all of your achievements even the smallest thing lang,” she added.
The actress also shared that she does things that would make her laugh and enjoy life even those simple things like hugging her loved ones, dancing, and singing.
