Netizens slams this political ad of Marcoleta
House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta, one of the senatorial aspirants in the 2022 elections, received bashing from netizens after his political ad was aired on ABS-CBN.
The SAGIP Party-list Representative became a trending topic on social media as netizens expressed angry tweets and comments against him.
This came from the fact that he is one of the lawmakers who voted against the Kapamilya network’s franchise renewal. He strongly opposed that ABS-CBN should settle the legalities when it comes to its franchise before it will be allowed to air on the free channel again.
Supporters of ABS-CBN, as well as its employees and celebrities working in the network, have criticized Marcoleta due to his stand, along with other lawmakers who also voted against the franchise renewal.
On Tuesday, the party-list representative once again received bashing from the online community, especially from solid Kapamilya fans. It is because of his political ad that was aired on ABS-CBN.
Many netizens slammed the House Deputy Speaker for having the “audacity” to air his ad on the network that received a “no” vote from him. There were also those who pointed out that Marcoleta knew the scope that ABS-CBN could reach that was why he wanted his political ad to be shown.
On the other hand, one netizen said that ABS-CBN is a business, there is no issue if the network will accept any paid advertisement from whoever wanted to pay for the service.
