Dingdong Dantes has a new game show
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes was asked to react to being the replacement of veteran host Willie Revillame for the time slot previously occupied by Wowowin.
Since Kuya Wil decided not to renew his contract with GMA, the airing of his game show stopped. As a replacement for the time slot, the Kapuso network aired Dapat Alam Mo!, the informative program of Kim Atienza, Patricia Tumulak, and Emil Sumangil.
However, that was just temporary and just recently, it was announced that Wowowin’s previous time slot will not belong to Dingdong Dantes’s Family Feud. During a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, the Kapuso actor-host was asked about this new stint.
Dingdong said that recent projects that he had concentrated on dramas and that is the reason why he feels at home with Family Feud because he feels that he is not working at all hosting the game show.
“I don’t have a serious role to play. What you see is what I’m like at home—chill, relaxed, dancing around from time to time,” the husband Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera shared.
When asked if there’s pressure on his part replacing Willie Revillame’s Wowowin, the actor-host said that in whatever field, one should ensure that the best result is given.
“No matter what time slot you’re in, you have to do well … give your 100 percent. Hosting a program that’s well-known around the world is a blessing and an honor. You have to be committed,” Dingdong Dantes said.
On the other hand, he said that the format of Family Feud is fit to the time slot. Dingdong has already hosted the show in the past and that experience is something that he treasures in his career.
