Daughters of VP Leni Robredo showed the other side of their mother
Aika and Tricia Robredo, the daughters of Vice President Leni Robredo, shared their mother’s political goal that involved the presidency.
For six years, Robredo served the Filipino people as the second-highest government official. Now, she is aiming for the presidency, and her daughters were asked about this.
In King of Talk Boy Abunda’s series of interviews featuring the wives and children of presidential aspirants, Aika and Tricia Robredo talked about their mother and their family.
The daughters of the Vice President were asked if their mother consulted them about her decision to run for president. Aika said that their mother did not directly do it but she would talk to them about the presidency and her political goal.
“Maybe not directly, something we talk about,” Aika said adding that their mother presented her goal to them. “Parang sinasabi niya, ito yung goal, ‘yung goal ko is to come up with a unified opposition,’” Aika shared what her mother told them.
Aika also said that VP Leni Robredo would tell them to whom she had a meeting in connection with this goal. However, the daughter of the Vice President said that they did not know the details of the meeting but their mother would show them a sort of a flow chart.
The chart would show the possible result of a certain action. “Kung good news with ganito, ito yung mangyayari, ito yung next step,” she shared. Towards the end, Aika said that they were able to figure out what will happen. “Yun na talaga and destiny or kailangan niyang gawin in the end,”she said.
When it was confirmed that Vice President Leni Robredo is running for president, Tricia said that it was difficult for them. However, they understand that it was a “sense of duty.”
