Korean Actress Han So Hee Will Not Pay Her Mother's Huge Debt

The agency of Korean actress Han So Hee releases statement about the debts of her mother.

The World Of The Married is the record-breaking series of South Korea, their own adaptation of BBC’s original Doctor Foster. It starred Korean actors Kim Hee-ae, Park Hae-joon, and Han So-hee. And the character of So Hee, the mistress of the story, is something that you would love to hate and hate to love at the same time. This was also the biggest break in her career.

But just recently, it was revealed that she and her family are facing a huge problem. Her mother was involved in a fraud that victimized a lot of people. She was sued for scamming worth tens of millions of wons. What was even worse was when she used the actress’ name for her illegal transactions. This led the actress to be sued for violating the Electronic Financial Transactions Act.

And in the statement released by 9ato Entertainment, the agency of So Hee revealed that her mother opened a bank account under her daughter’s name way back when she was still a minor without her knowledge. The matter was taken to court and the actress proved her non-involvement in it. She will also not ‘take responsibility for this debt’.

According to a report from Soompi, a part of the statement read:

Furthermore, we are additionally revealing that Han So Hee has no plans to take responsibility for this debt. This is to block from the source the actions of [Ms. Shin] using her daughter’s name to borrow money and abusing the fact that that her daughter is a famous celebrity to borrow money.

The statement added that she was sorry to all the people harmed by her mother’s illegal doings.
