Is it true that Kiko Estrada was intentionally removed from the Darna series?
Rumor has it that Kapamilya actor Kiko Estrada is no longer part of the Darna series featuring Jane de Leon because of his bad attitude.
Fans of Darna have long been anticipating its airing. The production of this series, which was initially intended to be a movie, has already started. However, just recently, another change was done after several changes were done when it comes to casting.
To recall, the series has already changed directors thrice, as well as the lead actress. First, the movie was supposed to be done by Angel Locsin, later on, Liza Soberano took over until the role was given to Jane de Leon.
It was reported that Kiko Estrada will be replaced by Paolo Gumabao for the character of Noah Ballesteros, the suitor of Narda. Based on the article by entertainment columnist Reggee Bonoan in Bandera, Kiko said that his decision to leave the series was because of a conflict of schedule.
However, Bonoan said that a source revealed that there was not the reason. Allegedly the actor was showing “pasaway” behavior. “Conflict of schedules ba ang dahilan? Baka naman kasi sobrang in love siya sa dyowa niyang beauty queen?” Bomoan’s source said.
Kiko is currently in a relationship with Miss World Philippines 2021 2nd Princess Janelle Lewis. The beauty queen confirmed their relationship during a media conference for the movie Takas.
The columnist said that JRB Creative Productions, the company behind the production of Darna, is yet to release a statement regarding Kiko’s exit from the series.
Meanwhile, Kiko Estrada surprised many showbiz fans when his relationship with Janelle Lewis was confirmed. It is because this happened just months after his breakup with Heaven Peralejo was confirmed.
