Not all netizens felt happy for the fanboying moment of Jed Madela
Kapamilya singer Jed Madela recently shared that his direct message to BTS member RM received a “heart” response and he admitted that this made him so happy.
In his Instagram post, Jed shared a photo of the art toy he created for RM. The Pinoy singer also shared the screenshot of the DM he sent to the K-Pop idol. This received a heart from RM.
“Sorry, guys. I’m fanboying. Yeah, I’ve met international artists in the past but when you “connect” with someone you really adore, it’s different! I will forever be a fan of BTS! Now, I can’t sleep… I’m happy,” the self-confessed Army shared.
Several netizens, who are obviously fans of the popular K-Pop group, expressed happiness and envy at the same time because Jed Madela received a response from RM.
However, based on the post of the Tawag ng Tanghalan hurado following this fanboying moment, there were those who threw mean comments at him. Because of this, he fired back.
Jed shared a quote from RM or Kim Namjoon that said, “If you can’t respect, don’t even open your mouth.” The Pinoy singer added the phrase: “or even type on social media.”
“Today, I’ve experienced being called many names just because I reacted to being noticed by an idol,” Jed revealed. He also said that being a celebrity also does not mean that he or other celebrities have no right to admire other celebrities.
He also pointed out that being a fan does not require a certain age bracket only. With this, the singer said that people can be so judgmental but this does not mean that he will turn away from thinking positively.
“But I choose to be happy. I choose to be kind. That is the right thing to do. Yes, I hurt. Coz I’m only human. But more than the pain of being bashed, I am happy because I choose to see things on a positive note,” Jed Madela said.
