According to rumors, Irvin Sto. Tomas, a teacher and cultural activist who is publicly pushing for Marcos and Duterte. Sto. Tomas is claimed to have been one of Robredo’s campaigners during his congressional campaign in 2013.

This election, though, isn’t really about who your family or countryman is. The purpose of the election is to pick a president who will lead the country, according to Sto. Tomas explained why he did not assist a relative.

“This election hindi naman talaga siya kung sinong relative mo o kung sinong kababayan mo. Election is actually to elect a president na magli-lead sa country. Kilala ko naman si Leni because I campaigned for her in 2013 nung nag-congresswoman siya. For me it’s BBM and Sara,” Sto. Tomas said.

According to Sto. Tomas, he is not alone, he’s thought to be among the Bicolanos who are dissatisfied with Robredo’s performance. This is due to her failure to keep her pledges as a congresswoman and vice president.

“’Yun nga ‘yung hindi nakakatuwa meron na sanang chance ang Bicol na may congresswoman at naging vice president kaso parang na neglect pa rin ang region,” added Sto. Thomas.
