Willie Ong reacts to the choice of certain groups to exclude him in the campaign with Isko Moreno
Doctor Willie Ong said that he is hurt with the decision of certain groups to pair Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer Isko Moreno with UniTeam’s Sara Duterte and other vice presidential aspirants but he is valuing his loyalty.
Ong is the running mate of Mayor Isko but some groups who are supporting the presidential candidacy of the Manila Mayor do not support the doctor. During the campaign event of Moreno in Mindanao, the bailiwick of Mayor Sara, it was noticeable that Doc Willie was absent.
A motorcade was held and only 3 senatorial candidates and Moreno were there, based on the article in ABS-CBN. Rep. Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu organized the event. He is known as a Moro politician is expected to have a political voice in Bangsamoro.
When asked about the choice of certain groups to pair Mayor Isko Moreno with other presidential candidates like Mayor Sara Duterte, Dr. Willie Ong admitted that he is kind of “hurt”.
He said, “ Sa akin kasi, mahaba ang pagtitiis ko, wala akong pera, wala akong pangalan pero I just follow the Bible. Magaling ako magtiis eh.”
Admittedly, he said, “Siyempre na-hurt ako. Masakit eh.” However, he said that he is not dwelling on this thought and he will just let this to the people as he knows he done nothing wrong.”
Dr. Willie Ong added that he is not doing things on his own and he is not pairing himself with other presidential candidates. “Gusto kong ipakita sa inyo, sa lahat ng tao, loyal ako,” the cardiologist said. He also said that he understand where this coming from and he is not complaining about this. The doctor stressed that he has no ill feelings towards any politicians amid this issue.
