Based on the article in PEP, Vice mentioned Bubble Gang in a recent episode of It’s Showtime. In a segment of the Kapamilya noontime show, Vice was having a conversation with comedian-singer Ogie Alcasid.

Vice mentioned that the acting of Ogie was for “Bubble Gang”. The latter asked why the former said that. “Ewan ko. Di naman ako nakapag-guest doon,” Vice Ganda said.

The Unkabogable Star added he was a regular guest on Idol Ko Si Kap, the defunct Kapuso sitcom of Senator Bong Revilla that aired from 2000 to 2005. However, Vice said that he never got the chance to guest on Kapuso gag show.

“Dream ko iyan dati, yung Bubble Gang,” the comedian-host admitted. With this, Ogie, one of the pioneer actors of the gag show, said that perhaps Vice’s talent fee was too high. However, the Kapamilya comedian-host said, “Hindi. Ang taas lang ng standards niyo. Di ako pasok.”

Ogie transferred to the Kapamilya network in 2016 and his wife Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez followed him eventually.

Early 2000s

Back in 2018, Vice Ganda has already shared that he started his television career in the Kapuso network. He was one of the cast members in Maxene Magalona’s teleserye titled Saang Sulok ng Langit in 2005.

He joked that no one remembered that it was his first TV series. “Kahit nga GMA, di nila naaalala na galing ako doon,” the comedian-host quipped.
