It is a 45-letter word coined by the president of the National Puzzlers’ League as a synonym for the disease known as silicosis- a form of occupational lung disease caused by inhalation of crystalline silica dust and is marked by inflammation and scarring in the form of nodular lesions in the upper lobes of the lungs.
It can be analyzed like this:
PNEUMONO comes from the ancient Greek (pneúmōn) which means lungs.
On the other hand, ULTRA means beyond while MICROSCOPIC refers to the fineness of particulates.
SILICO refers to volcanic dust while VOLCANO is being referred to as volcanic dust.
CONI comes from the ancient Greek (kónis) which means dust and OSIS, a suffix used to indicate a medical condition.

Meanwhile, the longest word ever is the chemical name for the titin protein found in humans. It has a total of 189,819 letters and accordingly, it takes three and a half hours to pronounce the said word.
