This is how actress Agot Isidro deals with “kontrabidas” in real life that many people can definitely relate to.
Agot has done various roles in teleseryes and movies. There are times that she would be on the protagonist’s side while at times, she would be the enemy or the antagonist, just like her role in the Kapamilya series La Vida Lena featuring Erich Gonzales.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, during a recent interview, the actress was asked about ways she does in dealing with real-life antagonists. “For me, (the key is) knowing yourself. Kilala ko ang sarili ko, and I know which battles to fight, which battles to just let go,” Agot Isidro said.
She also said that she knows her values and the things she stands for. With this, she will know if she will fight the battle all the way or just stop, and at times, she would know also if she just has to let it go.
In La Vida Lena, Agot’s character, Vanessa Narciso, is the “kontrabida” in the life of Janice de Belen’s character, Ramona Joaquin. When asked what her favorite antagonist scene with Janice was, Agot said that it was the “red wine scene”.
“Siguro yung sinabuyan ako ng red wine (ni Janice). E suot ko noon, kulay puti. Si Janice, iniiwasan ‘yung mukha ko!” she shared. Janice said that she was thinking that the wine was sticky and difficult to remove that was why she was cautious at first.
However, when they did another take, Janice shared, “Sabi ni Direk Jojo, hindi ano ka ba, sabuyan mo talaga. So nu’ng second take, hinagis ko talaga!”
