Janella Salvador revealed the “traumatic” part of her past relationship
Actress-singer Janella Salvador talked about the trauma she experienced from a past relationship in a recent YouTube interview on comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz’s channel.
In their discussion, Ogie mentioned the vlog of celebrity doctor Vicki Belo in which Janella did not want to mention her past relationship and the name of her ex-boyfriend. With this, Ogie asked if it was because of trauma as reports circulated in the past that her ex-boyfriend hurt her physically.
The actress-singer admitted that there was trauma from that experience but it was not mainly because of the physical abuse. She said that she has already forgiven her ex-boyfriend because as a person, it is not difficult for her to forgive someone.
“Hindi ako nagho-hold ng grudges, eh,” Janella Salvador said adding that she wants peace. However, she said that there was no closure between them and she chose to just let this go.
When asked if the “physical abuse” was traumatic, she said that it was more about having drunk men around her. “Yung part nan a-trauma ako for some reason is being around drunk people, drunk men,” she said.
The situation that really bothered her was being with men who did not know what they were doing because they were intoxicated by alcohol. She also said that her partner Markus Paterson knew about this.
Then, Ogie asked if Markus had already avoided this kind of situation as this caused her trauma, Janella laughed and said that they are working on it. She said that she understands that being young, her boyfriend still wants to have enjoyment sometimes.
“Hindi naman din niya kasalanan na may trauma ako pero we’re trying to work on it,” Janella Salvador added.
