President of the Philippine Broadcasters Association, Herman Basbao, stated they invited six presidential candidates. Marcos’ camp, on the other hand, wrote a letter claiming that it would be unable to attend due to a “scheduling difficulty.”
“May letter naman sila declining the invitation…that’s because of some conflicts sa mga schedules nila,” Basbaño said in an interview with TeleRadyo on Thursday, February 3.
The discussion is likely to include Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Panfilo Lacson, Senator Manny Pacquiao, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, and Leody de Guzman. ABS-CBN journalist Karen Davila and CNN Philippines journalist Rico Hizon will host the KBP discussion.
Marcos also refused to appear on January 22 for “The Jessica Soho Presidential Interview” because his staff claimed Jessica Soho was “biased” against the Marcoses. According to reports, the inquiries may only focus on negative aspects of BBM.
He was also supposed to conduct a live interview with DZBB on January 28, but he was unable to do so since he was in Davao and had problems connecting online. UniTeam’s virtual caravans were also skipped.
Meanwhile, #BaBackoutMuli is trending on Twitter, and #MarcosDuwag is trending again on news that BBM would be unable to attend the presidential forum. #BaBackoutMuli is the most popular hashtag on Twitter, with hundreds of tweets.
