LGU Worker in Camarines Norte Nabbed Over Illegal Drugs
Police authorities arrested a local government unit (LGU) worker in Camarines Norte after being caught will illegal drugs.
The accused suspect was determined to be an employee of the local government of Daet, Camarines Norte, according to an ABS-CBN News report. He was apprehended after an operation purportedly captured him with suspected illegal drugs called ‘shabu’.

He was apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Matnog Basud, according to the police. The 35-year-old suspect was apprehended after selling a box of shabu to an undercover cop, according to police.
He was arrested with a bag carrying roughly 7 grams of shabu worth P18,000. A charge of breaking the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be brought against the suspect, based on the report.
Meanwhile, in a buy-bust operation in Makati City, anti-narcotics law enforcement officers apprehended two individuals and seized suspected illegal drugs with a street value of PHP40.8 million. Police said, six kilograms were recovered from the accused. The suspected shabu was allegedly covered in Chinese tea bags.
The operation is part of President Rodrigo Duterte’s ongoing drive to eliminate narcotics before the conclusion of his tenure. The operation took place just one day after personnel of the Southern Police District recovered 2 kg of marijuana. In Makati, police discovered PHP13.6 million worth of suspected shabu and detained a 21-year-old suspect.
