Claudine Barretto talked about her past and present with Mark Anthony Fernandez
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto shared the reason why she is still friends with her former reel and real-life sweetheart Mark Anthony Fernandez.
Claudine and Mark did not just share the same screen together in the past, they also shared love with each other. Even though they have broken up years ago, the friendship between them remained.
They now have a reunion movie titled Deception. The last project that they had was in 1995 for the movie Mangarap Ka. In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Claudine said that Mark never deceived her despite being tagged “babaero”.
“Kahit babaero si Mark, he never hurt me in a way in which I was deceived, naisahan or naloko. That’s why we still have a good relationship after all these years,” Claudine Barretto said.
The actress also shared that she still felt Mark’s concern while they were shooting their reunion movie. “Kung puwede ka lang n’yang pagtakpan about what’s going on in your life, he will so you don’t get hurt. That’s the kind of person he is,” she added.
Meanwhile, when it comes to their acting, Claudine said that there was something that changed in both of them. Their acting is now more mature compared to the time when they did their 1995 movie.
She also said that they are more professional now. “We’re more comfortable with each other. Walang ilangan,” Claudine added.
Previously, Mark Anthony said that he is open to the possibility of getting back together with Claudine Barretto. In line with this, the Optimum Star quipped, “Puro salita … gawin mo!” In a serious tone, the actress said that as of now, she will just wait for whatever will happen in the future between her and Mark.
