Jodi Sta Maria did several iconic scenes in her new TV series
Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria shared a glimpse of her iconic scenes in the new drama series The Broken Marriage Vow.
Jodi portrayed the character of Dr. Jill Ilustre in the Pinoy adaptation of BBC’s Dr. Foster. Fans have been anticipating the Philippine version of this popular series that also had a South Korean version.
During a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Jodi shared that she did many iconic scenes. One of those was the one she did with Sue Ramirez who portrayed the character of Lexy Lucero, the other woman of Zanjoe Marudo’s character David Ilustre, the husband of Dr. Jill.
Jodi Sta Maria shared that she and Sue Ramirez felt nervous before they did the scene when the latter would slap the back of her head. “Sue was scared. She didn’t want to hit me on the head. I said, ‘It’s OK. Just do it. Try to hit me on the top of my head, and not close to my nape because then I might lose consciousness.’ We did it in one take. It’s one of my favorite scenes in the series,” she shared.
Jodi also did several iconic scenes with Zanjoe and one of those was when David beat up Jill black and blue. She said that viewers should watch out for this. The actress said that these iconic scenes would not be possible if not for the Philippine version.
“You’ll see a different Z (Zanjoe’s nickname) in this project. I told him that when I look at him, I don’t see Z, but I see David,” Jodi said about her leading man.
The actress also shared a glimpse of how her character developed. At first, Dr. Jill has a perfect life with her loving husband and kind and intelligent son. Her career was also doing well. However, her life turned upside down when she suspected her husband of cheating and the suspicion led to an obsession to get the revenge that she wants.
