Father Killed After Rammed by Drunk Driver While Riding a Bicycle to Home

A father riding a bicycle on his way home died after a driver who is allegedly drunk rammed and killed him in Pateros, Manila.

Alec Dwayne, a concerned netizen, recounts a tragic faith of a bicycle rider while on his way home. Alec’s Facebook post contains cautions for drivers who are forcing themselves to drive despite being inebriated with alcohol.

He urges drivers to refrain from driving when inebriated, as this might result in a road accident or, worse, the death of themselves and other victims. According to his post, a man riding a bicycle was killed at 9 p.m. when he was struck by a car driven by a drunk driver.

The victim’s family is said to be oblivious to the fact that the person they are expecting to return home is already dead. According to the photo, the intoxicated driver’s green car was damaged as a result of the incident.

The victim’s bicycle, on the other hand, has been damaged, with the front wheel bent. The concerned netizen sends his condolences to the victim’s relatives.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old farmer died in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, after being hit and run by an ambulance on the national highway. The victim was crossing the road in Barangay Borono when he was struck by an ambulance, according to Tagudin MPS. The motorist did not come to a complete stop for the victim.

The man was taken to the hospital after being struck in the head, but he died while undergoing treatment. With the assistance of witnesses, the ambulance driver, who was from Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur, has been detained.
