Drunk Man Supposed to Urinate Died After Falling Into a Cliff in Ilocos Sur
QUIRINO, ILOCOS SUR – A drunk man was found dead after allegedly falling into a cliff when he was supposed to urinate.
A group of friends’ apparent joyous drinking celebration turned tragic when one of their colleagues fell into a cliff and died. The victim had just informed his colleagues that he was going to urinate but went into an unfortunate event.

Revin Sombredo, a construction worker, was identified as the victim in a broadcast on GMA Regional TV’s “Balitang Amianan.” When the event occurred, the victim was enjoying a drink with a buddy when he decided to urinate.
According to the victim’s relative, he rose up to urinate but was reportedly tripped and ran straight down the cliff. His colleagues believe he stumbled and fell down the cliff as a result.
“Tumayo siya para umihi. Pagbalik niya napatid, ‘yun na nahulog doon sa bangin. Yung mga kasamaan niya ang nagsabi baka napatid,” said Jonaly Ngomintong, a relative of the victim.
It is believed that there is no fence in the gorge, which is 10 to 15 meters deep, and that if it dropped, it would fall straight down to the concrete road. According to Police Lieutenant Alden Isang, commander of the Quirino Police Station, the results of the medico-legal examination indicated that the victim had been drinking.
The man is said to have died as a result of serious head injuries. The victim’s relatives think the occurrence was an accident and that no foul play was involved.
