Since he joined the competitor network of his first home, ABS-CBN, where he met and had a 17-year career, he has been questioned about his devotion by critics, especially since he departed. His vow that he would never leave the network in its “darkest hour” is remembered by his detractors.
However, he stated in an interview at the height of his move that ABS-‘darkest CBN’s time’ will be in 2020. In reality, in 2022, Kapamilya Network will have fresh explosions that he will not be able to reveal.
Anyway, a netizen’s tweet against him was, “Di ka kawalan. Ano na kayang nangyari kay Atom, kay Kuya Kim, may nanonood ba sa palabas nila.. Hahaha.”
The ‘Atom’ in question is award-winning journalist Atom Araullo, who joined Kapuso Network in 2017. Atom was granted his own documentary show, which is well-known internationally.
Kuya Kim’s comment: “Hmmmmm parang meron pa naman last time I checked.”
Many netizens backed Kuya Kim, claiming that they can now watch him better because he has moved to the Kapuso Network, the country’s largest network with a franchise. ABS-CBN is growing in the digital realm while being tied to TV networks with franchises like A2Z Channel 11 and TV5.
When Atom and Kim relocated, it was only then that loyal Kapuso watchers met the two. Atom apparently received more accolades, and Kuya Kim’s television appearances became even more.
