‘John Regala’ Nabbe for Illegal Drugs and Illegal Detention in Quezon City
Police authorities arrested a man aliased as John Regala over illegal drugs and illegal detention in Quezon City.
A 31-year-old woman was detained by a drug suspect in Brgy. Pasong Tamo, Quezon City this Wednesday at dawn. According to the Quezon City Police District, the suspect, 55, has aliased himself as the famous actor “John Regala,” resident of Barangay Pasong Tamo.

PLTCOL Jeffrey Bilaro, chief of the Holy Spirit Police Station (PS14) of the Quezon City Police District said Regala was arrested past 12:00 midnight at No. 285, Tandang Sora, Brgy. Pasong Tamo. The arrest was prompted when a concerned citizen named Rommel Apo, 41, came to the police station.
Apo reported the suspect because he forcibly detained a woman known as Fatima Garcia, 31, who resides at No. 285, Tandang Sora, according to the report. Before rescuing the victim, authorities responded quickly and detained the suspect.
The suspect was found with 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000, as well as a sachet of marijuana, an ice pick, and drug paraphernalia. Regala is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Serious Illegal Detention.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested a student after an illegal plant was caught in his possession when he was accosted for allegedly face mask violation. The patrolling Libertad Substation police saw a 19-year-old student wandering without a face mask on Decena Street in Barangay 94 in Pasay City.
The man was charged right away for breaking a city regulation prohibiting the wearing of a face mask. Authorities demanded his identity card as well as the contents of his pocket, based on the report. However, when the contents of the pocket were removed, a sachet containing only 2.8 grams of marijuana worth $336 was discovered.
