In the said sitcom, some of his former co-stars in the Kapamilya network also joined him. Previously, the actor mentioned that it is one of his goals now is to help provide work for his fellow celebrities and through this show, he wants to do that.

John Lloyd Cruz was the guest of Willie Revillame in his game show Wowowin and the veteran host asked the actor what he felt when he first came to GMA Network. “Para siyang finally nabuo na,” Lloydie said, based on the article in GMA Entertainment.

He shared a story about the ‘time when he almost became a Kapuso already. “Kasi dati na-meet ko rin sila. Dati muntik akong makatapak dito, hindi lang nagkatuluyan. Pero ngayon, sabi nga ni Ma’am Annette [Gozon-Valdes] parang finally, it took us, how long, 20 years, dalawampung taon para talagang matuloy ‘to,” the actor said.

On the other hand, Lloydie believed that back then was not the right timing. “And tingin ko ito ‘yung tamang panahon, tamang oras na nandito ako,” he said.

During the same episode of the Kapuso game show, John Lloyd Cruz shared to Kuya Wil the interview that seasoned broadcast journalist Jessica Soho did with him.

One of the questions that were asked to Lloydie was the time when he took a break from showbiz. The actor admitted to Kuya Wil that back then, he felt like he was not growing as an artist.

“Masakit man sabihin, pero hindi ko na maramdaman ‘yung growth noon. Kaya, siguro natural lang para sa isang katulad ko na hanapin ‘yun at trabahuhin para marating ko ‘yun,” the A-list actor said.

When asked if he already found what he was looking for when he came back, Lloydie said that he thinks that it is a work in progress.
