Facebook Page of Ex-Pasig Mayor Hacked After Rant Against City Christmas Decors

Ex-Pasig City Mayor Bobby Eusebio revealed that his Facebook page allegedly got hacked after his rant against the city’s Christmas decors.

The “Bobby Eusebio official FB page” was hacked on December 2, 2021, about 11:22 a.m., according to the former mayor’s Facebook page. Recently, he was overjoyed to declare on Thursday that he had reclaimed control of the official Facebook page.

“Masaya kong ipinararating na atin na pong nabawi ang BOBBY EUSEBIO Official FB Page,” he said.

Eusebio’s viral rants against Pasig’s lack of decor were eventually taken down. Eusebio urged his fans to report any questionable activity or correspondences from his page that they may encounter to Facebook or his IT team.

Eusebio received backlash online last week after a series of posts on his Facebook page criticizing the present local administration for the lack of Christmas decorations in Pasig amid the COVID-19 outbreak. As a result, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto denied claims that the city government had failed to instill a festive mood in the city.

The local administration, according to Vico, prioritized the purchase of Christmas food hampers over lamps. According to figures from the local government, Pasig City spent P990,000 on Christmas decorations this year, while the budget for the city’s Christmas food bags was P234 million.

“Halimbawa, ang nabibigyan lang dati ng Pamaskong Handog, kung sino lang yung malapit sa nakaupo. Ngayon binibigyan natin lahat ng bahay dito. ‘Yun ‘yung hinahanap ng tao,” Pasig Mayor said.

“Ako, bilang mayor, kung ano ‘yung gusto ng tao, ‘yun ‘yung binibigay natin using their funds,”  he added.
