Mayor Vico Sotto Slams Fake Trust Rating Survey Against Political Foe

Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto Cries Foul Against Fake Trust Rating Survey vs Mayoral Contender

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto slammed the trust rating survey against his mayoral contender circulating online that was confirmed fake.

Re-electionist Pasig City Mayor displays his feelings after participating in a trust rating poll that revealed he is only a few votes ahead of his 2022 opponent, Vice Mayor Christian ‘Iyo’ Caruncho-Bernardo. Sotto said the survey was a hoax in a social media post.

He backs up his assertions with a screenshot of James Jimenez, a representative for the Commission on Elections (Comelec). “COMELEC spokesperson na po ang nagsabi ha. Fake din po yung ganitong survey para sa VM, Cong, at Konsehal,” said Sotto.

“Gagawa na lang sila ng fake survey, di pa nila pinalamang yung kandidato nila,” Sotto added. “Dumadami ang fake news. Maging mapanuri. Kailangan PROACTIVE tayo laban dito.”

In the fake poll, Sotto received 52 percent, Caruncho-Bernardo received 47 percent, and one percent was unsure. It’s also known as the ‘SWS Survey Trust Approval Rating,’ and it was supposedly done by the SWS PASIGPH CHAPTER from November 1 to December 1.

Jimenez, on the other hand, confirmed that the survey was false. According to him, the COMELEC has neither commissioned nor participated in any “Transparency Survey” and has not been able to verify the veracity of this infographic with the SWS.
