The HTC U12+ was officially announced on May 23, 2018, and released on June 29, 2018. The device is powered by a 3500 mAh Li-Ion battery (non-removable) + fast charging 18W + quick charge 3.0. It is available in three colors: Flame Red, Ceramic Black, and Translucent Blue.
Body & Display:
The smartphone is built with a glass front (Gorilla Glass 3), a glass back, and an aluminum frame. It measures 156.6 x 73.9 x 8.7 mm and weighs 188 grams. It features a 6.0 inches screen size and the display is a Super LCD6 capacitive touchscreen that provides 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution.
Platform:
HTC U12+ runs on the Android 8.0 (Oreo) + Sense Ui operating system. It is powered by the Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 (10 nm) Octa-core processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Adreno 630.
The device is packed with 6GB of RAM while the internal storage has 64GB and 128GB options. The storage option can be expanded up to 2TB using an extra memory card via a dedicated card slot.
Main Camera:
The rear side of the HTC U12+ sports a dual-camera that consists of 12-megapixel + 16-megapixel. It features HDR and dual-LED dual-tone flash.
Selfie Camera:
On the front, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel + 8-megapixel camera for clicking beautiful selfies and making video calls. It also features HDR and panorama.
Connectivity options on the device include USB Type-C 3.1, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, NFC, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, hotspot, and Bluetooth 5.0. The phone’s sensors include gyro, compass, accelerometer, proximity, and fingerprint (rear-mounted).
