Suspects Admitted Cagayan de Oro Doctor Shot Dead for P150,000 Reward
Suspects from the Cagayan de Oro doctor slain admitted that they allegedly shot the victim to them in exchange for a P150,000 money reward.
The three accused suspects admitted that they were promised P150,000 to kill the victim, Dr. Raul Winston Andutan, 62, medical director of Maria Reyna-Xavier University Hospital in Barangay Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro City, according to the police report. Dr. Andutan was shot after 10 a.m. while riding in his SUV. this coming Thursday

According to the report, he was able to drive away from the attackers while being injured, but he finally slammed his vehicle into a laundry shop, injuring a bystander. Andutan was transported to the neighboring MRXUH, where he died from three gunshot wounds.
However, the perpetrators, who are all Bukidnon locals, were apprehended on Friday in Barangay San Alonzo, Balingoan, Misamis Oriental, before they could collect the money. Jomar Pacilan Adlao, 30, Marjun Abayon Cabug, and Joel Arcilla Nacua, 37, were identified as the suspects.
Two.45 caliber firearms and a grenade were taken from their safehouse, based on the report. Meanwhile, Rene Tortosa, a native of Balingoan, the putative major suspect, eludes capture.
Nacua and Cabug supposedly had no idea who was behind the crime, but Tortosa allegedly told them that Dr. Andutan was responsible for a patient’s death. Another suspect, Felipe Tingabngab Entira, 63, was later apprehended in Balingasag town.
