Homeowners Trying To Kill Snakes Burned Down Their Entire House

HOMEOWNERS VS SNAKES – In an attempt to rid their home of snakes, Maryland homeowners burned an entire house down.

Snakes can be dangerous, but oftentimes, they’re just misunderstood. In reality, they’re just as afraid of humans as some are with them. Unfortunately, the first thing that comes to mind when people see snakes in their homes is to kill them.

Meanwhile, the meme “kill it with fire” literally happened inside a 10,000 square foot home. According to an article from CNN, a homeowner tried to smoke out a snake infestation on his property.

Pete Piringer, chief spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service said snake infestations have become an ongoing issue. As such, coals were used as the heat source for the smoke.

But, they were placed near combustible materials. Eventually, this quickly caught on fire and managed to engulf the entire house.

As per the article, the fire started in the basement and quickly got through the next floor. Luckily no one was inside when the fire devoured the house.

The damages to the house cost around $1 million. And, the house was recently purchased for the price of $1.8. Still, the fire department deemed the incident was an accident.

Because of the fire, the fire department emphasized homeowners should call in professionals to deal with snake infestations.

“There are animal services that can come out and make recommendations, or pest control, or an exterminator…

We recommend you have professionals deal with any pest control issue to help maintain the situation”

Currently, the status of the snakes remains unknown. However, the home is now in ruins. What do you think about this? Leave your comments below.
