29 Sabungeros Involved in Illegal Tupada in Cavite Arrested During Raid
Police authorities arrested 29 sabungeros allegedly participating in an illegal “tupada” or cockfight during the raid in Cavite province.
Cavite police conducted an operation against unlawful cockfighting events in several parts of the province, resulting in the arrest of 29 people involved in the illegal activity. According to the Provincial Police Office of Cavite, between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Anti-illegal gambling operations were carried out in Imus, Bacoor, and Kawit between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
In the Brgy. Four guys were detained at Malagasang 1G, Imus City while attempting to stage an unlawful cockfight. A dead panabong, or “fighting chicken,” was discovered together with two Tari (chicken blades) and P1,200 stakes.

In Brgy. Kawit, the Provincial Special Operation Group, and the Kawit Police Department joined forces. Four more males were apprehended in Toclong, Kawit. The Bacoor City Police also apprehended 14 additional unlawful gamblers.
In Brgy, the other day. Bacoor City, San Nicolas 3. There were two dead chickens, two Tari, and P3,400 stakes found. In the Brgy. Authorities in Molino 2, Bacoor City, Cavite, handcuffed eight sabungeros and allegedly recovered P2,200 stakes, two dead hunters, and two tari from them.
Police busted an alleged unlawful cockfight in Mati City, Davao Oriental’s Barangay Dahican. After getting information of cockfighting in the barangay, which is presently prohibited due to the epidemic, the police responded.
As police arrived on the scene, the screaming cockroaches were being pursued by the chickens. The sabungeros bolted as soon as police arrived, according to police, but three of them were apprehended.
Three fighting hens, tari, and P170 in cash were found in the area. Two police officers were determined to be involved in the cockfight during the police inquiry.
