Muntinlupa Official Reacts BuCor’s Concrete Road Barricade Near New Bilibid Reason ‘Binigla Kami’
The Muntinlupa official has finally released a statement regarding the concrete road barricade placed by Bureau of Corrections.
Last week, Bureau of Corrections builds a concrete wall in the middle of the road along Katarungan, Muntinlupa. The road connects residents between Katarungan Village I and Katarungan Village II.
The wall causes inconvenience and discomfort to the residents passing along Katarungan, Muntinlupa. The road closure also affects Muntinlupa National High School Main and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa.
Recently, Muntinlupa Representative Ruffy Biazon released a statement and reaction regarding the controversial concrete wall erected near the New Bilibid Prison, which has been demolished by the residents.
Biazon said that the local government unit is coordinating with BuCor since March 2021 after building a barricade in Southville 3. Unfortunately, the agency did not obey the agreement and build another wall in Katarungan road.
The official explained that the LGU was surprised after receiving complaints from the residents regarding the road closure. BuCor did not consult or inform them regarding the plan to close the road. He also brought his concern to Justice Secretary Meynardo Guevarra.

“Ngunit ito, binigla kaming lahat. Sa gitna ng gabi, mga 10:30 at night, bigla silang nagtayo ng pader doon, walang pasabi, walang konsultasyon, nothing whatsoever kaya naman masyadong matindi ‘yung ginagawa.” Biazon said.
The executive is hoping that the issue between BuCor and local government unit in Muntinlupa could not get to court.
“Hindi talaga maganda na ang mga government officials mismo naglalalaban-laban kasi pare-pareho kami, dapat na ang pinaglilingkuran, yung taumbayan. E dito po sa nangyari taumbayan ‘yung apektado,” Biazon added.
