Is it true that Taylor Swift and Gong Yoo were spotted together in New York City?
Rumor has it that Grammy-winning artist Taylor Swift and South Korean star Gong Yoo had lunch together in New York City.
This rumor circulated because of the post that was shared on the Instagram account of DeuxMoi who first claimed that it was the star of “Descendants of the Sun.” Later on, the IG gossip account revised the post and said that it was Gong Yoo, based on the article in Manila Bulletin.
Because of this, the rumor instantly spread on Korean celebrity news sites. However, the rumored “lunch” evolved into a dating rumor. Taylor Swift is currently in a relationship with English actor Joe Alwyn.
In line with this speculation, Management Soop, the agency of Gong Yoo released a statement. It said that the South Korean superstar has not been in New York for quite a while now and that he is busy for the promotion of his new project.
The agency of Gong Yoo also stressed that there is no truth to this so-called lunch. Here is the complete statement: “Gong Yoo is in Korea at the moment. He has not been in NYC for a while; his last visit to NYC was quite a long time ago. Our actor is busy preparing to promote Netflix’s series ‘The Silent Sea’ in Korea. The rumors are not true at all.”
Meanwhile, in the said new series of Gong Yoo for Netflix, he worked along with Bae Doona and Lee Joon. The series will start streaming on December 24. Based on the popular streaming platform’s description, this upcoming series is a science-fiction. Gong Yoo is known for his well-loved series Goblin and the movie Train to Busan.
