Pinay OFW Suffers Injuries After Escaping from Abusive Employer in Paris
A Pinay OFW suffered injuries after jumping from the second floor’s window just to escape from the hands of her abusive employer in Paris.
The 28-year-old Filipino identified as alias Jenny used her blanket, which served like a rope she used to get out of her employer’s vicinity. Unfortunately, her hand slipped from her grip and fall into the ground.
The Filipino community in Paris found Jenny pummeling on the ground while suffering from the pain. The group immediately called an ambulance to bring the poor migrant worker to the nearest hospital.
Jenny could not manage to move his feet and legs after falling from the building of her employer’s house. Her employer expressed its fury towards her for sneaking out of the vicinity.
The female OFW reported that her employer brought her to France from Qatar. She is working as a domestic helper but her employer imprisoned and maltreated her.
Filcom leader in Paris Lito Gomez said reported it to the authorities and check the address. He also received Jenny’s message about her plan to escape due to fear to her employer.
“Ang ginawa ko ni-report ko sa pulis binisita namin kagabi para tingnan kung tama ang address na ibinigay, kasi naman taga rito ‘yun, ngayon nag-text sa akin na tatakas daw siya ng gabi na ‘yun dahil natatakot siya sa employer niya,” Gomez said.
The Pinay migrant worker currently holds her passport while recuperating at the hospital. She needs to undergo a surgical operation. She is only earning 250 euros or P20, 000 for 15 hours of work but her employer abuses her.
