Gabriela Calls Out PBB Housemate TJ Valderrama Over Inappropriate Behavior
TJ VALDERRAMA – The Gabriela Women’s Party called out Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate TJ Valderrama over alleged inappropriate behaviour.
“PROTECT SHANAIA GOMEZ” and “FORCE EVICT TJ” became Twitter’s top trending topic on Saturday after videos of Pinoy Big Brother contestant TJ Valderrama allegedly touching singer Shanaia Gomez “inappropriately” went viral. They said this has been happening quite often already on the reality show.
Viewers of the show called out the producers of the reality show to take action. They couldn’t help but air their frustration on the social media site as they accused the comedian of taking advantage of the younger housemate. Netizens described it as “disturbing, alarming and malicious.”
Some netizens recalled how previous PBB housemates who were too “touchy” on the show faced consequences. They said TJ Valderrama’s actions were more severe and want him to force evicted from the house.
A Facebook page that claims to be the official account of Valderrama has defended him against the accusations. It says that viewers are quick to judge the comedian when they don’t know him personally.

The party-list representing Filipino women in the House of Representatives, Gabriela Women’s Party immediately reacted to the issue. The party-list organization assured their followers how they had taken note of the videos and photos related to the trending issue.

“We have taken note of several photos and videos related to the “FORCE EVICT TJ” Twitter trend.
“A reminder that unsolicited touching and physical contact, even in the context of friendship or even relationship, can be a form of sexual harassment. Maaring hindi agad napapansin subalit karaniwang hindi komportable ang biktima sa ganitong mga sitwasyon, at maari pang magdulot ng trauma.
“Nawa’y maging positibong venue ang PBB para matalakay ang mahalagang usapin na ito hinggil sa Safe Spaces, lalo’t bahagi ito ng paggunita natin sa darating na International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (IDEVAW) sa Nobyembre 25.”
TJ Valderrama was a finalist on Its Showtime segment “Funny One.” He also appeared in various shows such as “Home Along Da Riles and “Basta’t Kasama Kita.”
