Jake Ejercito is not proud of his political stand
Kapamilya actor Jake Ejercito revealed that years ago, he joined a rally against former President Ferdinand Marcos and he had to cover his face back then.
Jake comes from a political family aside from his showbiz roots. Being a son of former President Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada, it is quite natural for his name to be dragged into topics about politics.
In a previous interview, the actor even revealed that the possibility of joining politics has entered his mind but he just set that aside for now. Jake Ejercito shared that he really had educational background as joining politics was his aspiration in the past.
However, the political environment in the country made him change his mind but he stressed that he is not closing his doors completely.
Indeed, politics runs in his veins. Even back then, he was already fighting for his political belief. Jake shared in his recent social media post that he joined the rally against the decision of President Rodrigo Duterte to bury Ferdinand Marcos in Libingan ng mga Bayani.
“5 years ago, I joined a rally to protest FEM at LNMB. Had to cover my face with a bandana for personal reasons. 5 years later, face still covered, but this time loudly and proudly #tumindig,” the actor wrote in his Twitter post.
Now, although his face is still covered, it is covered with a mask showing the image of Vice President Leni Robredo who is running for President in the 2022 elections.
