Presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo visits Senator Leila de Lima inside Philippine National Police (PNP) custodial center.
Robredo is said to have visited a party ally in the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame on Thursday. De Lima may be seen posing with the famous D5 hand sign after visiting the Senator at 11:30 a.m. in a Facebook post.

Although Robredo and De Lima are both members of the opposition Liberal Party, the Vice President is running as an independent candidate for President. Outside Camp Crame, De Lima supporters organized a flash mob at the gates to protest the senator’s ongoing arrest.
“Free Leila now,” they said in a message printed on their umbrellas.
Under the present administration, De Lima remains imprisoned on “trumped up” drug allegations, according to her and her allies. The opposition senator has been held for over five years on two drug-related charges, but she claims she is being targeted politically.
De Lima recently expressed her gratitude to a presidential candidate for included her in their Senate slate for the 2022 elections. De Lima, the most visible political prisoner in Duterte’s dictatorship, expressed her gratitude to Vice President Leni Robredo for his trust and unwavering support for her.
Robredo stated she is honored to have De Lima on her list of senatorial candidates when she announced her slate. Robredo said, “Si Senator Leila de Lima, ang tanging dahilan kung bakit sya nasa kulungan, dahil isa sya sa pinakauna at pinakamatapang na tumindig laban sa patayan.”
