Chavit Singson Claimed Manny Pacquiao is “Not Qualified” to Be President

Manny Pacquiao is “Not Qualified” to Be President Says Former Friend Chavit Singson

Narvacan Mayor Chavit Singsong said that his former friend Manny Pacquiao is not qualified to be the president of the Philippines.

Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao’s relationship with erstwhile partner Chavit Singson is heating up after the experienced lawmaker delivered a scathing remark. Pacquiao is unfit for the higher position, according to the mayor of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, because of his educational background and experience.

“Hindi pa siguro panahon ni Sen. Manny Pacquiao,” Singson claimed in Pacquiao’s run for the presidency of the country under the PBA-Laban party. “Unang-una hindi siya qualified. Ang presidente kasi you have to be well educated if not well experienced,” he added.

If Pacquiao is elected president, Singson believes the boxer will be a disgrace to the country. The politician warns the people that they cannot pick a president who will make Filipinos look bad.

“Hindi puwedeng i-elect mo yung presidente na mapapahiya tayo dahil yan ang mukha nating Pilipino,” the Narvacan Mayor said.

“Kung ako sa kanya, balik na lang senator, doon siya makakuha ng maraming experience and later on isipin mabuti kung dapat ba tataas pa,” Singson added.

Singson earlier chastised Pacquiao for expressing his desire to hike tobacco taxes. Singson opposes it since it is the people of Ilocos’ primary source of income. The Narvacan mayor also advised the Senator to first research. Tobacco is a vice for Pacquiao, and the pricing of basic needs like rice and other food things should not rise.

Chavit Singson has expressed his displeasure with those who are supposedly advising Manny Pacquiao to avoid him because of the Senator’s political plans for 2022. Singson went on to say that he used to back Pacquiao wholeheartedly, but that is no longer the case.
