Roque Says Family To Prevail Amid Digong VS Sara Issues

FAMILY TO PREVAIL – According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, “Family Ties” would prevail amid the Digong Vs Sara disputes.

The recent announcement of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio seemingly shook President Duterte. On Saturday, Sara filed her certificate of candidacy for Vice President instead of President.

As such, Duterte said he became baffled as to why Sara would agree to such a decision. According to the likes of Salvador Panelo, Sara led the polls for the Presidential Seat.

But, Sara said that running for Vice President meant that she’d meet her supporters halfway. Now, a BBM-Sara Duterte is brewing which caused Duterte to urge Senator Go to drop his VP spot and run for President.

Following this, Duterte said that he would run for VP as well against his own daughter. Still, despite the escalating drama, Roque said “family ties will prevail against all odds“.

According to an article from ABS-CBN, Roque said:

Wala naman pong problema sa samahan siguro ng mag-ama. Ang sinabi lang ni Presidente, hindi nagkonsulta si Mayor Sara ng kaniyang mga political plans, pero medyo siyempre nagtatampo dahil hindi nga siya nakonsulta

Roque stressed that Sara is still Duterte’s favorite child. “Sabihin na lang natin na gaya ng kahit anong relasyong pamilya, minsan nagkakatampuhan. Pero wala pong kaduda-duda, nagmamahalan po ang mag-ama“, Roque added.

Currently, Sara Duterte is running for Vice President under the wing of the Lakas-CMD party list of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

After the announcements, Duterte said that he had never voiced support for Marcos. Furthermore, he called out Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Leni Robredo as pro-communist.
