Police authorities arrested four (4) high school students for allegedly being involved in selling illegal drugs in Cagayan.

The police have filed an official complaint against four high school students who were discovered selling illegal drugs in Barangay Padaya Este, Buguey, in the province. The Philippine National Police (PNP) Buguey sued the four kids despite a litany of accusations from their relatives. The four young suspects were lead by the 19-year-old Leo Gomer.

The four men led by Gomer were charged with violating section 11 of R.A. 9165, the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002, and section 28 of RA 10591, the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition. Gomer’s three companions who were also involved in the arrested, according to the report, were all juveniles between the ages of 16 and 17.

The complaint against the four was filed at the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Aparri town through inquest processes. The arrest of the four, however, is claimed to have been staged, despite police claims that it was a legal operation.

The four suspects attempted to flee during the arrest, according to the police report. However, the cops were able to corner them and handcuff them.

According to the authorities, 24 pieces of heat-sealed clear sachets containing shabu were discovered from the pupils’ custody. Aside from that, they had a.45 caliber gun magazine with only six rounds in their possession.
