  • Mambaling
  • Pasil
  • Punta Princessa
  • San Nicolas Proper
  • Sawang Calero
  • Sinsin
  • Suba

  • Tisa.

Prior to the passing of the ordinance, the internet access points were all funded by Rama personally. But, now that the ordinance was passed, the program is assured of sustained funding through the city government Management Information and Computer Services (MICS) Department.

Based on the ordinance, all Barangays should have an internet access point near the barangay hall. Furthermore, the barangay chiefs should manage these access points.

“All constituents in the Barangay shall be allowed to access free wireless internet connection in the Barangay Internet Access Points which are subject to rules and regulations established by the said Barangay”

According to the author, the ordinance was created as a way to promote easy access to information and services. Meanwhile, funding for the project was estimated at P8 million per year.

Now, the ordinance only requires the signature of Mayor Edgardo Labella should he return from his leave or Acting Mayor Michael Rama.
