This is what Kylie Padilla said about her role in “Betcin” and the reason why she agreed to play the role.
KYLIE PADILLA – 28-year-old Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla said that “Betcin” is a “perfect project” and it was offered to her just right in time.
“Betcin” is a romantic-comedy series that will start airing this October 15. It will be about the story of Beth and Cindy where both of them are social media stars. While they are falling apart due to different priorities and needs, they have to portray this certain image for “#RelationshipGoals” where they have to show that everything is just fine in their partnership to gather the most likes and win.
Beth and Cindy roles were played by Kylie Padilla and Andrea Torres, respectively. This is both their first time to do a girls’ love series. And for Kylie, it’s the “perfect project”. It came just right in time for her when she desired to step out of being “Kylie”. Also, the role added to her dynamics being an artist and after reading the script, she immediately fell in love with her character.
“I just knew na kaya kong gumawa ng isang karakter na mae-enjoy ko. It wasn’t really a challenge e. I had so much fun. Bitin ako,” she said and added her certainty that she can do justice to it. In a report from ABS-CBN, Andrea, her partner, also agreed to her because she really did well and she looks great with her transformation for the role. Andrea even admitted that she’s “nagga-gwapuhan” over her changes.
“Naga-gwapuhan ako sa kaniya. Very memorable ‘yung first kiss ko, and first relationship ko with her,” says Torres as per report.
Meanwhile, Kylie just got separated from her husband Aljur Abrenica. Her estranged husband is now dating someone new and she’s cool with it because they have agreed to give each other freedom as they ended their relationship. They intend to maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship for the sake of their two boys.
